To mark International Day of Women & Girls in Science, on this episode of #TheFutureIsFemale Melisa Idris speaks with Dr Sophia Rasheeqa Ismail, Head of the Cardiovascular Unit at the Institute of Medical Research, about the importance of applying a gender lens on cardiovascular research, and what young girls and women aspiring can expect when entering into this field of health science research. Dr Sophia Rasheeqa is also the Recipient of the prestigious 2017 Merdeka Award Grant International Attachment.
